Saturday, March 28, 2015: 3:09pm: Jonathan votes in hometown, Otuoke, Bayelsa State. After voting he said: “I call on Nigerians to be patient with INEC on the issues with the card reader. I will not lay blames on the Federal Government or INEC. We are all one and I am hopeful. I believe the elections will be free and fair”. He also noted that the card reader issue is not just in his area but also a national issue and therefore called on Nigerians to use the manual way where it fails.

On reports of bomb blast in Enugu, President Jonathan said there was no bomb blast in the state. “I spoke to the governor of the state and he said there was no blast”.

If they have problems with their Permanent Voter Cards there are other ways to go around it. The use of card reader is new and anything new you must have challenges. I will be back about 1:00pm after accreditation. INEC will have a way to handle delayed accreditation and I believe they will follow the guidelines to ensure that all Nigerians willing to vote will vote.”
